Farewell you scumbag, Im out a job...your out a career

I'm a former employee, due to termination, of a highly regarded hospital. I worked in the dietary and literally ran circles around other employee's. I was focused, punctual, avid and from the lip's of my former supervisor, "priceless employee". Working in that environment was comparable to being a fish in a bucket filled with water and holes, I struggled around the time clock to patch the whole's while the other fish had excepted their fate and did nothing. Being my first corporate experience, I didn't catch onto the whole slower is better tone until it was too late. You see the more you do in a position like mine to try and improve things, and save money in the budget, the more you are written up and warned about things that never occured. It's corrupt. The boss has no interest in the budget in this scenario because he can't be weeded out if the problems are fixed, so he spends his day sharing pornography with employee's and flexing his power muscle. Complete scumb bag. I was terminated, just recently, for latenesses. All of which I could prove were fabricated with the testimony's of fellow workers who knew when I was at work. The guy hated me, because I was positive, motivating and made him look horrible. His time is coming, I was offered my job back after proving his false accusation's but declined due to lack of fullfilment I got from that place. The list of lies and false accusations is endless and HR was on his side the whole time until I reached out to "more relevant" organizations that would shut that bitch right down. I almost got denied my benefit hours and slandered throughout the hospital, but thanks to these few, simple things I had done during my employment; my name and hours were redeemed.

How dishonest and pathetic is your boss ?

subjective of course

  • He/she was forged in the furnace of hell.
  • He is a decent guy/gal, but sucks at what he/she does
  • Average/Respectable
  • Cool person overall with genuine passion for their work
  • Can make a Lexus out of pipe cleaners. A close runner up to "the most interesting man in the world"

These things saved my rear

1. Written proof

I documented, in detail, every breach of policy I witnessed by everyone, boss included. From sleeping, stealing and carelessness, I put it all in writing. This really saved my ass when it came time to file a grievance.

2. Verification

I always had that small group of whom I had earned their trust. They would sign off in my little book, that they were witnesses as well. I was sure to add a disclaimer at the end of each record to protect their jobs as best I could.

3. Gotcha on tape fool.

Everytime I was called into the office I would switch my phone recorder app on and put it in my pocket. My first words would be "this conversation will be recorded for my records, do I have your permission?" and because this was said in a half way joking tone, the bastard fell for it more times than none. If he said no in any way, I would turn off the recorder by shutting the phone down through my pocket. I had his face red as an apple when those conversations were revealed in front of his boss and bosses boss.

4. Always be on time

Every day I would grab a co-worker and have them look at the clock with me and would say "remember this". At this point, I could feel the heat because his normal rant's about his awesomeness which were daily had haulted. I wanted someone to be able to prove I was there in case he manipulated the time sheet. Which he most certainly did.

5. Honesty

I feel no regret about getting this man fired. He is what's wrong with our economy, work ethic, morallity etc. I wanted to drag his ass to hell and put him back were he came from. Be honest to yourself and always be ready because once your start, you can't stop without losing. No victory dance but relief, and self-pride in following through with something I believed in.
